Project: Small Bakery
First name: Michael
Last Initial: OD
Age: 11
City: Waynesville
State: Missouri
Description: I live out in the country where my mom does in-home daycare.  She makes interesting things like friendship bread for the kids to eat. I also live off a highway, I tried a lemonade stand a couple times but it didn’t work out. Since that didn’t work I thought about doing something else, like a bakery, and since Gunnar came to one of my camps, he gave me the oppurtunity to do just that.

First name: Ben
Last Initial: K
Age: 10
City: Zumbrota
State: Minnesota
Description: Hi. My name is Ben. Mom told me about the War Kids Relief project and I wanted to help. It made me really sad to learn that sometimes kids are used as suicide bombers. That should stop right away! To help raise money I had a lemonade stand. I raised $53.00 today and have some family members sending me money in the mail. My goal is to get $100.00. I want my money to help Gunnar’s project to HELP KIDS!! War is not a place for kids. I’m glad I could help and have fun at the same time.

Project, Cars and KidsProject: Cars and Kids
First name: Alyssa
Last Initial: K
Age: 18
City: Cannon Falls
State: Minnesota
Description: I gathered together my 10 awesome siblings and in five days we threw together a car wash at a local gas station/restaurant, the Cannonball. It was so much fun! We had a ton of support and raised $128.55 for WKR. Everyone who stopped by was thrilled to be able to help out and most gave donations even if they didn’t want or need a car wash! Even the people who got their cars washed gave extra money toward the fund. It was so cool to see how happy everyone was to support Gunnar and his mission. We are so happy we were able to do something to make a difference in the lives of the kids Gunnar is walking for!
